War should be confined to a museum ...
that is the topic of this museum located in the Netherlands near Venlo and Nijmegen.
The museum in Overloon is located at the Overloon-Battlefield from 1944. All the damaged vehicles at the outside area and the restored Panther G were collected from the 1944 battlefield to display them. Furthermore at the outside area a rare German radar unit, called "Würzburg Riese", is on display.
The photographs were taken in 2005 after the museum was rebuilt in total, featuring a new exhibition hall. This hall was built to cover a private collection of about 300 US vehicles from 2nd world war.
The Panther G lacks all interior equipment. The engine was sold to a private collector in the UK, who actually restores a Jagdpanther to running condition. In the middle of 2005 the engine was started and run successfully.
Dear reader, if you ever visit the Netherlands, you must have a look at this museum.
Wishing you big fun by having a look at the pictures.
